The basin crunch is performed as you lie on a mat or on the floor. Then you have to put your arms on your chest, bend your knees and raise your shoulders toward the knees. The aim is to use only the abdominal muscles and not to lift your entire back off the floor.
Sit ups and crunches have one small difference between them. When you do a crunch, you should not lift your entire back off the floor, while a sit up is performed with the entire back. Sit ups are very useful for achieving a flat stomach.
Lie on the floor and lift your legs straight up. Your knees should not be bent during the activity. So, you need to lift your legs without bending the knees. Stop when the legs are perpendicular to your body.
