Greens: Vegetables with green leaves are rich in calcium, magnesium, iron, potassium, zinc, Vitamins A, C, E and K. They make the blood and respiratory systems stronger. There are many different greens that can be used in your daily diet regime.
Sweet Vegetables: They are usually used to make your meals sweeter in a natural way and to reduce your desire for other sweets. Sweet vegetables include corn, carrots, beets, sweet potatoes, winter squash, onions, etc.
Fruit: They are also an important part of the healthy diet as they provide the body with natural sugars, fiber, vitamins and antioxidants. You can choose from many different fruits: fresh or frozen. Some fruits help the body fight against cancer (berries), other provide fiber (apples), and some are rich in vitamin C (oranges, mangoes).
Choose the brights: Brighter fruits and vegetables contain more vitamins, minerals and antioxidants.
